Step 2 the Stage: A 10 day international seminar workshop

UAC’s International Step to the Stage Seminar (S2S) connects aspiring performers and professionals from around the world in a rigorous, multi-cultural training environment. The S2S seminar combines comprehensive training with cultural experiences in an international setting. The program helps students become disciplined and diverse performers and builds connections with performance companies around the world.

In July 2010, UAC will co-host S2S with the Energy Palestra studio in Forio, Ischia. Located off the northern coast of Italy on the gulf of Naples, Ischia is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful coastlines and thermal spas:

Our training staff includes some of the top professional teachers  and choreographers in the world.

As part of our world-class training program, UAC’s 2010 S2S will focus on the core dance disciplines of:
- Classical Ballet

- Pointe

- Contemporary

- Choreography 

- Musical Theatre

-Modern/Jazz/Hip-Hop                                                                                                                                    

In addition to classes, students (and their families) will be invited to participate in regional tours and cultural events. Combining comprehensive training with cultural experiences in an international program helps students become disciplined, diverse performers, with connections to performance companies around the world.

Tuition

$850 (USD). Registration fee: $100 (USD). Registration fee is non-refundable. Tuition includes 10 class days (two optional days), four class hours per day. Classes will be held at the Energy Palestra in Forio, Ischia. The performance, featuring all seminar participants, will take place on 10 July.

Pricing is subject to change based upon the size of the group.

-Single Rate: 90 Euro per night

-Double Rate: 110 Euro per night

-Family Rate: 137 Euro per night

75 euros (breakfast and one meal included)

All rates are based on double occupancy – room rate will be higher for single occupancy requests. Space is limited, so reservation requests will be assigned in the order they are received. Seminar participants will pay the hotel directly at the time of the stay.

TOURING:

Take advantage of regional tours and cultural events such as the Jet Boats. You can also see Capri, Pompei, Ischia Porto, Casamicciola Terme, Sorrento, Rome, Naples, Mount Vesuvio, The Gardens, The Jolly boat, and The Aragonese Castle of Ischia

DINING:

You can also enjoy the fine dining and night life in beautiful Ischia at some of the most secnic five star resturants such as Ristorante Pirreria L'Arca, Ristorante Pizzeria Zi Carmela, and the don't miss the extravagent ocean view restorante Piano Bar in St. Angelo.

SHOPPING:

Enjoy the many high quality fashion botiques and shops as you walk along the historic cobblestone streets of Ischia. You will find Gucci, Armani, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Ice Berg, and other brands are all available for browsing.

FUN AND ADVENTURE:

For those who want to venture out and see the island, scooter and smart car rental is available. Scooter rental is 20 Euro per day and convertible smart car is 50 Euro per day.
